• Configuring and maintaining virtual machines, virtual networks and load balancers
• Maintaining physical network devices
• Troubleshooting issues with virtual machines and virtual networks connected to Azure

An Azure Administrator must possess the following skills to perform the roles and responsibilities with perfection.
• A clear understanding of the cloud computing services that include networking, storage, databases, servers and software in the cloud.
• A basic understanding of Microsoft is an added advantage for professionals. Those who are interested in being a proficient Azure Administrator should have experience with PowerShell and Office 365. These things will assist you in better understanding Azure.
• Knowledge of a programming language will help a lot. Azure administrators are said to have proper knowledge of the programming language that includes knowledge of open-source frameworks such as ASP.Net and knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML5 and SQL Server.

The Salary of an Azure Administrator

An Azure administrator needs to undertake a lot of roles and responsibilities that allow the professional to enjoy a salary of seven figures. In India, an Azure Administrator earns a salary of 7.3 LPA on an average. In the initial years, an administrator earns somewhere around 3.5 LPA, but the same can be increased to 39.1 LPA based on the experience gained by the professional.
